Katrina Darrell, a 20-year-old model from Chino Hills, California wore a skimpy bikini to American Idol auditions in Phoenix, Arizona, and not surprisingly, got her golden ticket to Hollywood!
Well tonight Darrell returns. Kara DioGuardi joins her on stage, makes it a bit suggestive but fun, Katrina kisses Ryan on the lips — Now this is great programming.
This time, it's "Best Attitude" and the nominees include Bikini Girl, who provided our first clue just how annoying Kara DioGuardi could be (could you imagine the kind of revenge Kara could have exacted if Bikini Girl had won and Kara wrote her song); Alexis Cohen, the middle-finger woman; and Tiffany Shedd, who's never going to give up singing, no matter what those crazy judges say (she, also, would have done a great job with No Boundaries). And bikini-clad Katrina Darrell wins the award. She's been working on her tan since getting sent home.
Ryan, looking at her (and not her face), delivers probably the best line of the night: "I was going to ask you what's new, but I think I know."
Katrina gets one last performance on the show, but the producers have a surprise (apparently) in store -- Kara DioGuardi's going to join her, to show her how it's done. And she's got a bikini of her own, we discover as she rips open her outfit.
"We bet Kara she wouldn't do that and she did," says Ryan, "so we're going to donate a lot of money to charity."
