Patrick Swayze’s ‘The Beast’ slain by A&E?

Patrick Swayze is in a battle for his life, but it looks like the battle for his show, “The Beast,” is over. It looked like A&E has canceled the cop drama.
Although the network claims no official decision has been made, sources told Variety that the show has been scrapped after 13 episodes. The final show aired April 23.
Swayze has other things on his mind than his career at the moment. The 56-year-old is fighting pancreatic cancer and rumors have circulated for months that he’s at death’s door. Last month, his rep denied a Florida radio station’s report he had died. But there’s no word of a possible replacement for Swayze, just an end to the season.

As much as I’m sure Swayze would like to continue with the show, maybe his health should be the focus for now.Source: celebutopia.net

Patrick Swayze Is Alive & Probably Miffed

Earlier today, rumors had flew around the internet that Patrick Swayze had passed away. According to a radio station in Florida, who started the rumor, Patrick had lost his battle with cancer.

Now my point is this, this man already said that he has to get up three hours in advance of whatever start time he’s got to be at the job just to get his body ready. He’s deathly ill with cancer, that part is for sure. He’s already given the evil eye to snappers trying to take photos of him in his ill state.

Now this radio station in Florida starts this nonsense? I just want to slap them for it. His rep confirmed the truth, that Patrick is alive and well. Hallelujah. I bet he’s probably rather upset by all of this nonsense.Source: gossipsucker.com

Patrick Swayze shares photo to sink rumors of death

As you’d expect from a man of his talent, Patrick Swayze has, perhaps unwittingly, channeled Mark Twain in declaring that ‘reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.’
Last week, a Florida radio station - clearly desperate for ratings - announced via Twitter that Patrick had died. To disprove this baseless and self-serving rumor, Patrick, 56, has since released this new picture, showing him alive and surprisingly well, alongside wife, Lisa Niemi, and their two wonderful dogs.
Diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in January last year, Patrick was told most treatment was futile as it had already spread to his liver.
The typical lifespan for those given such news is six months.
Patrick has already beaten the odds, and his people are determined to prove he still can, “This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning, contrary to reckless reports,’ says their welcome assurance. “Patrick is alive and well and enjoying his life, and he continues to respond to treatment.’ the statement confirms.

Faced with the sheer volume of doom-laden news he must have so far endured, most people would retreat to their beds. Patrick is not like most people. Instead, the man whose role as Sam Wheat enraptured the world took on the challenge of playing an FBI agent in the A&E drama series, ‘The Beast.’ Patrick was on-set and on time every day. Then at weekends he would fly to LA for chemotherapy treatment, and live in pain the whole week in case medications that could help save his life might have affected his work.
And this is the man a second-rate radio station believed they could kill.
Asked why he endured such anguish for the sake of the role, Patrick’s reply is as revealing as it is self-effacing, ‘I just love to work hard.’ he told the scribes.
Most of his peers could learn a great deal from this man, and I’m sure we all wish him well.

Patrick Swayze: Still Fighting

He’s been in a battle for his life against pancreatic cancer, and Patrick Swayze isn’t giving up yet.  He was spotted recently at a gas station in Los Angeles looking like a shadow of his former self.
And according to reports, the “Dirty Dancing” actor has signed a “Do Not Resuscitate” order, requiring doctors to let him die in the event that he stops breathing or his heart stops beating.

Despite his poor health, the 56-year-old is hoping to make an appearance at the 4th Annual Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival coming up on April 23rd where his film “Jump” is scheduled to open the festivities.Producer Lilly Berger told press, “He told me he was looking for a good dramatic role and his mannerisms seemed perfect for this character.  He told me, ‘I’m not dead yet. I will be there.’”

Patrick Swayze 105 LBS (Photo)

If you haven’t seen Patrick Swayze lately, his appearance may shock you. The National Enquirer has released a series of (possibly doctored) photos documenting the significant weight loss the actor has suffered as the result of aggressive chemotherapy treatements to treat pancreatic cancer.
The tabloid claims Patrick is down to just 105 lbs.
